General terms and conditions of attendance

1. Attendance
To attend an event, please complete the application form available on our website www.benchmarking-events.de or send us an e-mail containing all the details as requested on the application form. The organiser reserves the right to refuse applications without having to give any reasons for doing so.

(1) Events for which an attendance fee is charged

Once we have received your application, we will send out an invoice that is also confirmation that your application has been accepted. Please settle this invoice before the event takes place. We do not send out separate confirmation that your application form has been received and approved. You will not receive an entry ticket, but there will be a name badge waiting for you on the day of the event and this will give you entry to the event.

(2) Events for which no fee is charged

Once you have sent us your online application, we will send you an automatically generated e-mail as confirmation of receipt. When your application has been processed, we will send you confirmation that your name is on the list of attendees. You will not receive an entry ticket, but there will be a name badge waiting for you on the day of the event and this will give you entry to the event.

2. Attendance fees/Terms and conditions of payment
Please refer to the details of the relevant event for the attendance fee. We will send you an invoice for the attendance fee after receiving your application. The amount shown on the invoice is due for payment before the event.

Fees for attendees from EU countries and other foreign countries will be charged in accordance with article 3a of the German sales tax law (UstG).

3. Cancellation/Attendee changes
All cancellations and attendee changes must be made in writing.

(1) Events for which a fee is charged

Attendance at events for which a fee is charged may be cancelled up to 30 calendar days prior to the event free of charge. If attendance is cancelled up to 14 calendar days prior to the event, half the attendance fee will be payable; any cancellation later than this will incur the full attendance fee. You are welcome to nominate a substitute attendee without incurring any additional charges.

(2) Events for which no fee is charged

Please notify us without delay if you find that you are unable to attend the event at short notice. You are welcome to nominate a substitute attendee.

4. Changes to/Cancellation of the event
The organiser reserves the right to change the venue and/or time of the entire event or parts thereof, to make changes to the event or to cancel the event at short notice.

The organiser does not accept liability for the presence of advertised speakers. Please refer to our online announcements for the current speaker status.

5. Data protection
By submitting an application, the attendee agrees to the storage and use of his or her personal data. Such data are only used for the purposes of organising the event and for information associated with the subject of the event. The names and contact details will be made available to all attendees in the form of list of participants.

Photographs and videos taken in connection with the event may be published by the organiser on the organiser’s own websites, in books and own advertising material without such use giving rise to any claims for payment. The media in question are ones that reflect the entirety of the event and where individual attendees at the event may be identifiable.

These terms and conditions of attendance do not apply to events organised by partner companies.
